It's been a while!
Hey everyone! So sorry it's been such a long time! Things have been busier and busier and I just haven't sent out an email! So here's an update on everything that's been going on:
1) I got a new companion so I'm back in a trio. I'm with Elder Roberts(my trainer) and a missionary named Elder Furlong. They're both good guys and were working hard!
2) We have been teaching a lot of people. Right now we have 4 people on date to be baptized! Most of them are in January but this week one of those will change! Rick is getting baptized on Thursday and we're so excited for him. Hes been getting taught by missionaries for a long time so we feel very blessed that we will be here when hes decided to be baptized. GO RICK!
3) I'm still in Gainesville as a ZL so it's been quite the party! Hopefully I'll finish my mission here. If not I think I have at least one more transfer here.
4) I've had food poisoning twice now through the past 18 months. One time was this past week so that wasn't any fun
5) my studies have been improving more and more. Gonna get a bit personal here. We met with Elder Bednar as a mission two weeks ago. Let's just say the spirit chastened me a little bit. My two biggest takeaways were that I need to take my studies more seriously and go more in depth and apply what I learn. The other thing was that I need to apply myself to the gospel a lot more. And I love that. It doesnt matter how good we think we're doing, we can always do something a little better. And that's why we have the atonement!
Love y'all! Have an amazing week!
-Elder Tolman
