Hey everyone! This week has been a pretty good one! 12-10-18
Monday was good, going to the Romeros for dinner and helping them with family history. They're a really good family and really help the branch.
Tuesday was good! Starter put with district meeting and had a good training for the district! Right after that we went on exchanges with the Spanish AP's. That was really good. I taught one of the most in depth lessons to an 8 and 11 year old. They had the best questions ever and it was a whole lot of fun to teach them. They're way good kids but sadly not in my area.
Wednesday we finished the exchange and I had already had 3 hours of language study, my brain was FRIED!! But it was good for me. We had a couple really good lessons and one women really wants us to come back. We also saw a less active Nefi and his mom, they were nice. We had a good lessons with them about the importance of going to church and reading scriptures(make sure you're all doing that!!!).
Thursday, pretty good day. We got together with the other elders in the branch and worked on getting the branch to being a functional unit. That was a good meeting! Afterwards we visited the Chavez family and that was really good, they really needed us to be there that night. We are going to visit them every day from now on. But we had a good lesson there then went to a dinner with a member named Douglas. He's pretty cool.
Friday we had 5 lessons! That was a good day for us. We have one person who wants us to come back. We also visited Nefi and his mom again. They said that they would come to church next Sunday. That's exciting. We saw the Chavez family and talked to their son named Omar, he isn't a member but he's super cool. He wants to learn more about the gospel though.
Saturday was awesome. Did some planning and tried to visit some people but no one was home. So we went through our area book and contacted everyone that had been taught and that we were teaching and got some miracles from there. That was a good thing. Then we went to visit one of them. His name is Jesus but we call him Chuito, he's a funny kid. Pretty open and willing to come to church and all. Had a good little talk with him. Then we had dinner with the Ortegas. Then we went to visit Omar and his family, he didn't read like we had asked him so we read with him. And oh wow the spirit was so strong in there. He said that what we read with him was exactly what he needed to hear at the time. It was amazing. After that we went home cause it was getting late.
Sunday was really good. One of our investigators, Omar, came to church. He's way cool. In young men's they talked about missions and what they needed to do to prepare. Now, Omar's family has mostly been baptized but he never really wanted to. But since we started meeting with him he talked about how he saw things happening drawing him closer to God. Then, after church we talked to him and he said that he would love to serve a mission!!! So we are going to try and meet with him and the rest of his family every day. Definitely the highlight of the week.
I love this church, and I love the work in Georgia. I know what I'm teaching is true and I'm thankful for all the support back home. I love you all and I hope you're all doing fantastic. Have an amazing week everyone!
