Week 50

6-3-19

Que dia Bonita!

Wow what a week. It was pretty crazy because the biggest area in the mission(my area) is pretty much now on bike! At least 4 days out of the week that is. All the miles in the mission have been cut in half! Crazy. So now we have 700 miles to use for this month. Anyways! Let's jump into it.

Monday and Tuesday I was pretty much with Elder Leany all day. But we did have a pretty good lesson with Teresa! She committed
to getting baptized June 9th after church! We also got back and the other Elders had news that someone else we are teaching, Claudia and Jose have decided to get baptized on Saturday the 8th! We're so excited for them!!  Also on Tuesday all the Elders went with a Zone leader to do a baptismal interview except for me. I went with someone the ZL's were on exchange with to visit some of our people. The guy who came with me is named Elder Arlt. He's a good guy!

Wednesday we had international conference. That's where we found out all our miles are being cut in half. But we were promised some really amazing blessings so its gonna be SO GOOD! After the conference we were driving home and we got rear ended. Bummer. Luckily we had our bike rack on and it took most of it and save the car from more damage. It wasn't too awful though. I forgot pictures so that goes to show how minor. After we got back, Elder Leany and I went to a lesson again. It was with Jose, he's pretty chill and wants to get baptized so he'll be fun to teach.

On Thursday the highlight was teaching this couple named Jaun and Sarah that we found tracting. They are so cool!!! We had an amazing lesson with them. We talked a little bit about the plan of salvation. They want to hear more of it this Tuesday! So please pray for them!

Friday we got materials for our English class and some picture frames for our people we're teaching. We are giving them Family Proclamations. We biked pretty much all day to! And we saw Teresa, she told us she had a dream about her baptism. But then she said she wouldn't tell us about it until after she got baptized. So that will be interesting. Then we had soccer night so we went to a field and played soccer for a bit. Elder Katterman and I had to leave early to go to the Ward Mission Leaders house for a meeting/dinner. There was SOOOOOO much food! So blessed to have them in our ward.

Saturday was the second best day of the week. We biked around ALL day. We had all our lessons fall through except for one at the very end of our day. The Carro family. They have been taking lessons for a long time and are being held back by one thing. We had one of the most powerful lessons ever with them. The mother really opened up. She told us some of her concerns. We told them we wanted to come back but we couldn't continue teaching them if they wouldn't keep commitments. We asked if they were ready to start progressing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then left for two minutes to let them think and we came back and they said they were ready to keep commitments and progress. Wow, how amazing is that? Please pray for them!!!

Sunday was a super special day! A family of 6 all got baptized!! It was a beautiful baptismal service. The family is so excited to be able to go to the temple a year from now to be sealed for eternity!
