General Conference!!!
Alrighty everyone, this week wont be to much about my actual week. Instead I'd like to talk about conference.
Oh man it was an amazing time. One of my favorite things was that they announced the building of EIGHT NEW TEMPLES!!! How amazing is that? The lords church is being strengthened in so many areas of the world. The amount of members are growing quickly enough to have temples built! For me the most surprising was the temple in Hungary. So amazing. But most of all, I appreciated how the announcing of the temples was preceded. President Nelson gently reminding us that temples are the most sacred places in the world. And reminding us that even though we may be excited, we must keep the reverence of Gods holy houses. It strengthens my testimony of temples!
Next was one of my favorite talks given by Ronald A. Rasband. Homes need to be a fortress against the world. Because we as members of the church are in a life and death war with Satan over our and souls of all mankind. Fortresses must be made on the outside and our faith MUST be built on the inside. But how do we do that? Much like a fortress it will be build one log at a time we must build our faith by one ACTION at a time. Doing this will slowly, but surely increase our faith. How beautiful is that? By small means or actions great things can be accomplished. When our homes become these fortresses, and we continue to have faith in Him, we will be able to feel the peace and love of our Heavenly Father.
The last talk I want to mention is by Kyle S. McKay. Wow, so powerful. Even though deliverance from our trials will not always be immediate, what will be immediate is the goodness of God. In the times of our greatest need His love will be over us if we pray to him with humble hearts and contrite spirits. If anyone is feeling in a time of grief, I urge you to pray and ask to feel his peace and love for you.
Other then conference this week, it was pretty slow. We had an exchange and we were able to put one of our friends, Jorge, on date! He is excited and ready to learn more. I love you all and hope everything is going great!
Love you all,
Elder Tolman
