Week 38

the Newest Member: "OMAR!!!"

Ok let's jump right in this week!

Monday was way fun. We had a combined zone activity and had a volleyball tournament. My team didn't win but we did take 3rd! Then we did zone on zone dodgeball. Lost the first game then won the rest! Pretty fun stuff. We were able to talk with one of the members recently home from a mission and we really gained his trust and the rest of his families. 

Tuesday we had a good district meeting. It was an awesome mix of spiritual and fun. Then we all went out to lunch. Afterwards we met with Omar and his brother Kebyn. We talked with them for a little bit and started teaching a little more in detail about the Holy Ghost. That was cool. Then we visited the Reyez family on the way to the Ortegas and they really wanted us to eat. So we ate for a bit, shared a short message and then left. At the Ortega's we talked a little bit shared a message with them and one of their friends who isnt a member. Super cool, she wants to take lessons now! 

Wednesday wasn't the best of days. One of the Elders in my district wasn't feeling well so we went on a short exchange and I went there. He didnt want to do anything so we were in for a while. I got some good study in though so blessings in disguise.

Thursday we started off slow and then visited Omar. As we got there they were heading over to the hospital because their dad had been hospitalized. We were with them for most of the day doing what we could to help. So please keep them in your prayers. After that we went to the Romeros and got some help with my Spanish plus some dinner. Nice.

Friday we started getting ready for our move tomorrow to a new apartment. We were putting things in boxes and cleaning up. Then we had a lesson with a referral, they were pretty cool. More on that next week. Then Flowery Branch needed a ride back from a meeting. So we picked them up and brought them home. Then we had a lesson with Omar. And after Romeros needed some help. Then we went to the Ortegas for another lesson with their friend Angie. When we got there we knocked on the door and found out she didnt show. So we spent the last bit there. Then we got home went to the Giddens to give then some eggs and talked with them for awhile. 

I dont remember Saturday but on Sunday Omar was confirmed a member of the church!!! Super exciting! He's gonna be a super strong member and a powerful missionary. Other than that nothing big happened!
