Drugs + Police = no Bueno
Hey everyone! Sorry but its gonna be a pretty short email this week! Things were busy with the zone today!
Monday was the usual, we went to the Romeros for dinner and then afterwards we saw Flowery Branch to celebrate new years! Happy new year everyone!
Tuesday we had an awesome district meeting with some awesome insights on what each of us can do better in our areas and personal work. So cool. Then we got pizza and did family history at the church. We got all our English class ready the rest if the day and only two people ended up coming so that was a bummer. But overall a good successful day.
Wednesday we did lots of service for the members so not a whole lot was able to get done. But, we got to get closer to the branch and gain their trust! But, we did get to see Omar and he is sick! He's seriously way cool. We had a super good Plan of Salvation lesson with him and the spirit was pretty powerful.
Thursday was good as well. Got all our studies done aaaaaaaannnnndddddd went to the car and it was dead. So we had the sisters bring their car over so we could jump it. But that didn't work so we went with flowery branch for the day and helped with their area. later we had a member pick us up to have a lesson with Lordez and that was good. The members helped a lot but she hasn't been reading the Book of Mormon. So please pray that she will read!
Friday was great. We started out going finding and while we were a little dog followed around for a while and that was pretty funny. Then afterwards we saw something a little out of the ordinary. We saw some cops surrounding a trailer home pounding on the door and all of them had guns out ready to go. Then they all went in got who they needed plus all their "accessories" and left real fast. Crazy stuff.
Saturday we did more member work and helped the Montoyas move for a few hours, that was good. They had some way heavy furniture though. Then we saw the Ortega's and ate at Kim's which was way good. Later on we saw Ana Garcia and had a way cool restoration lesson with her. She's super prepared! Then a member took us to dinner and then took us to a light show which was weird to say the least and we didn't really know what to do. Soooooo I dunno.
Sunday was great. Who likes the new church schedule???? I love it! It allows for us to come closer as families as well as closer to the savior! After church we went to lunch at the Buford elders apartment and then worked in their area. We had an awesome lesson with one of their investigators named Ivan and he's so stinking cool. He's another one who just needs to read. Super cool guy.
That's it for this week! Miss you all and I hope everything is going great! I love being in Georgia and the people here and I love this Gospel!
