Week 9

6 Weeks and Pregnant!

Good week this week with some really exciting news!

The rest of Monday was good. After p day ended we did some tracting. Sadly people here are not big fans of getting their doors knocked on Monday night's. So that wasn't very successful.

Tuesday was good. We had our last transfer meeting before the transfer is over. One of the missionaries in our district, ELDER Larson is dying so we took funeral pictures with him. Fun stuff. He s a good guy. We biked out pretty far to visit one of our investigators and she told us that if she could get a ride to church she would come! So we are definitely going to work on getting her a ride. On the way back from there Roberts got a flat tire so we had to walk 2 miles to a members house and borrow their bike. Good stuff. We also contacted this really cool guy named James. He was interested so we left him with a book of Mormon and our number. He lives close so we can keep in contact with them.

Wednesday was pretty good. We biked 3 1/2 miles to trade bikes back for Roberts other bike. So that was good. We contacted in that neighborhood and only got to talk to 8 people, but they were all nice so it was good. None of them wanted to really listen though. By the end of the day we had biked 28 miles so it was really a killer day really good though, we talked with lots of people, none interested but we left good impressions. We did talk to some really cool preacher guys though, they weren't too interested with taking a book of Mormon but they were agreeing with a lot of doctrine we were talking about that was coming directly from the BofM so hopefully when we visit them again we can leave them with One!

Thursday, we went on exchanges with the DL'S again and Elder De Farias came to fort Yargo and we biked a bit. But heres where the exciting news cones in. The AP's called us and fuess what... drum rolllll........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I FOUND OUT I'M PREGNANT!!! I'M TRAINING NEXT TRANSFER!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD I'VE ONLY BEEN OUT FOR 6 WEEKS THOS IS CRAZY!!!! That night was super crazy and not much sleep was granted unto me haha!

Friday was good. Elder Roberts and I went down to Lilburn to do a training meeting on how to better train our trainee. It was good. I got to see ELDER Chatman again which is always really exciti

ng and fun. Turns out he is going to be training as Well! Only makes sense, he's an awesome missionary. After that we went to lunch with some other Elders and talked about everything going on. Then we went back and I ended up hitting my head(oops) and I was super dizzy and had a hard time focusing so I took a short nap. After that we drove the car to the sisters and biked to an investigators house who said they wanted a blessing. But when we got there they didn't want a blessing anymore(rip to the 6 miles we biked there for). But that's ok, we taught him and two other guys a good lesson.

Saturday was so good. Having the car is always a good thing. We drove out further than we usually do and we were able to find a lady and her fiance who are pretty interested in coming to church next week. It's exciting! But sadly we had to drop 6 people today. None ofbthem are answering texts, calls, or us being at their door. Sad day.

Sunday was really good. Really really good. We had a ward council meeting and we talked about the ward mission plan. Heres the cool part abkutbthat though, the night before I couldn't sleep at all, I got out of bed and looked at the time and it was 2 in the morning. I had a prompting to grab some paper go to my desk and just write. So I did. I wrote all about our week. I had a feeling at the beginning of the week to keep track of everything numbers wise. So I did. We knocked on 446 doors, 106 of them answered, 101 of them said no and shut the doors on us, 5 of them listened, 2 of them shut the door halfway through, and three of them listened but didn't really care for us coming back. We biked 73 miles, 5 miles takes about 25 minutes to bike, which means 5 hours and 50 minutes, almost 6 hours is being wasted biking. I told these stats to the ward council and then read off the paper I wrote the night before to them. In the paper I ask them to commit to doing three things. Donating 1 day in a month to helping the missionaries. Giving us two names of people they know that are ready to hear our message(after praying and receiving an answer over the names)as well as being willing to come and visit those people with us because they know who they refer to us. The last thing was to follow through with their fellowshipping assignments and find out why people aren't coming to church and how they canchelo them come back. The bishop pulled us into his office after the meeting and told us that was exactly what the ward needed and that he knew we were there at the right time to get the ward to step up their missionary work. Super cool stuff. So there's a miracle for the week. The 2 hours of sleep was worth it for sure. Oh and guess what, WE HAD AN INVESTIGATOR COME TO CHURCH!!!!!! First one since I've been out so that's AWESOME AND EXCITING. Good stuff. And more good things will come as long as the ward follows those commitments, I just know It!

That's it from my week! How is everyone doing

back home?? Pretty great id hope! Anything new coming up? To all
my friends starting college, you excited for that? What classes are you taking? Tell me all about it!!

Love and miss you all,
Elder Tolman
