Week 10

8-27-18

I don't even know what week I'm on anymore!

Wow what a week! The rest of Monday was as usual, uneventful. For some reason people are generally very very unhappy about us knocking doors on Monday... I wonder why...

Tuesday, the day I gave birth! My trainee came!! Little did he know that he was going to be biking, a whole lot. But that's ok! We picked him up (literally) and then took him to Zaxbys and met with all the other new guys and their trainers so it was fun. After that we went right into it, we went tracting and taught a lesson. He's kind of shy but that will get resolved with time. Then we had a member dinner and right when we got there we said, "hey by the way, your sharing a message!" He didn't, I did. But that's ok, we will get there. Oh, his name is Elder Martini like the drink. He's from Lacy Washington, it's just outside of Olympia.  Cool guy for sure.

Wednesday was goodish. We had district meeting that went on for forever. But it was good, learned a lot. That ended at 12 then we got dropped off back at the house. Then we realized we left our area phone at the church so we had to bike all the way back to get it. Then we did comp study and 12 Week planning, then went out to react. Nothing came from that but it's ok. Then our appointment that night dropped us. But right after they dropped us, the young men's president asked us if we could come talk to the youth that night. So it worked out!  We talked about how we can all share the gospel without actually talking about it. It was pretty Good!

Thursday we did lots of tracting and then we helped someone new move into the ward. They're a nice couple with a little girl and a boy on the way. Fun stuff. Little miracle of the day: we were moving a washer upstairs, they were on the second floor of an apartment complex, and while going up the stairs the washer fell off the dolly. Here's the crazy part, I CAUGHT IT!!!! For those who have moved washers you'll know they are not the lightest things to get into the house, anyways, I caught it and was able to get it back on the dolly and continue moving up the stairs. Definitely was helped by angels. Good stuff. Then our dinner appointment canceled and the people we moved in brought us pizza and we didn't even tell them. Tender mercies! Good stuff for sure. I was also asked to give a talk the coming Sunday so that was fun.

Friday, I don't remember anything except that we got dropped by two of our top investigators so that was pretty sad.

Saturday was similar, I don't remember anything except that we found one new investigator. Hopefully that goes well.

Sunday was good. The talk went well (at least I hope it went well). I felt like it was pretty good but who knows. Anyways, we didn't have an investigator come to church this time, next Week though. After meetings we had a dinner with the Haneys, they are really nice and have a super fun dog named lupin. After that we went tracting in a wealthy neighborhood which usually doesn't work put too well but this time was different. Everyone we talked to was super nice! One lady works for a company called REI and we talked about mountain biking for a little while. That was a good conversation. Then she said she was busy but that we could come back another time to share a message with her. Which is awesome because she told us she was atheist. Fun stuff!

There's my week! Hope everything is going great back home and everyone is having a good time!
Love and miss you all
