Week 73
11-11-19
Wonderful Days in Gainsvegas
This week was great! It honestly wasn't super eventful throughout the week. But we did have some cool experiences! The first cool thing that happened was we had a super cool lesson with this lady from Nigeria named Benedicta. Her husband is a Muslim but she is very Christian. Not only is she very Christian, but she has almost the exact same beliefs as we do! I wont get into detail, but it was a little freaky how similar they are! I loved it! So next lesson we have with her we will be teaching the Restoration. Please pray for her!

We were also able to put Whitney on date for baptism!! She is wanting to work towards January 4. So we are super excited about that! On top of that, we also met her son this past week and he is a really cool kid. Soon enough, we will be teaching all of them! We are really excited for them! So please pray for Whitney and her family as well :)
Other than those two things throughout the week it was just knocking doors and talking with people.
Then during the weekend we had a really cool experience! We decided it would be a good idea to visit some people at a place called fields at McEver. So we drove over and knocked on all the doors of people we wanted to visit but no one answered. We were a little bummed but it was ok. We knew we were supposed to be there so we prayed about which building to go to. We felt like we should go to 1700. So we went over and started knocking! Only two people ended jo answering the door which was a bummer. But, of those two people, both of them asked us to come back after hearing us out! It was a huge miracle. On the way back to the car we saw a members car who we wanted to visit earlier. So we went over and talked with him, it ended up being that he had needed someone to talk to so it was perfect timing we got there when we did. Elder Roberts talked and listened to him while I distracted and played with his two kids. It was great!
We also had MLC and got some news on next transfer! We are going to be doing a ton for Light The World so we are STOKED for that! Its gonna be fun. Also I got to see almost everyone I came out with! We were only missing two but it was still good to see everyone. Lots of fun!
Little spiritual message of the week is that as we work hard and do our very best, the Lord will sanctify those efforts. It probably won't be immediate. But we can rest assured knowing the He has seen and recognizes what we put in. I know that as we dedicate time to serve in our church callings and at the Temple our time will be made up in ways we couldn't imagine!
I love each of you and hope you have a great week!
1) Me, Cuarenta and Bradshaw
2) all the missionaries I came out with. All the Sisters go home next week
