We Gave Away a Couch!
This week was so much fun y'all! We were super busy!
Here's a run down of what happened this week:
1) we had an exchange with the Suwanee Elders and I went with a new missionary named Elder Clark. We had a heck of a time! We were knocking doors from 1p.m until 8! It was way fun. We found some super cool people for them to teach! Usually they aren't ever able to find new people so this is gonna be a huge blessing for them. Lots of fun in Suwanee.
2) we gave Whitney our couch! A couple weeks ago, someone gave us their couch because they were going to throw it away. It was a nice couch! Whitney didn't have a couch. For the past 9 months she has been using some totes with pillows on them as a couch. And, they could only support 120 pounds so really only the baby could sit on it. So, we gave her our couch! Moved it in and got it all settled for her. She loved it! She was super excited and we didn't tell her before so it was a big surprise.
3) while tracting Elder Roberts and I met the world record holder for most consecutive rides on the Jurassic park ride at Universal studios in Florida! So of course, I had to get a picture with him. It was a funny experience. Just so you all know, he was exactly what you would think of when thinking of someone with that title.
4) Elder Roberts and I did an entire day of tracting(10a.m until 8:30p.m) and decided we wouldn't eat the whole day. Let me tell ya... MIRACLES WERE FLOWING!!! It was honestly amazing! At first, we were having 0 success. So we said a quick prayer that we would be led exactly where we needed to go. We both felt that we needed to go to a different apartment building so we did. The first couple doors were not having it. So, we went to the next floor. Here's what happened... Every other door we knocked answered and was interested in our message!! We got some return appointments for the following week and we were stoked about it. The rest of the day was a hit and miss. After a little bit, we both felt(in our stomachs and the spirit) that we should go to McDonalds. Right when we walked in and right away, this lady came up to us and said, "IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU GUYS! LET ME CLOCK OUT AND WE CAN TALK!" Holy moly it was insane!!! So we sat and talked with her for about 30 minutes while her ride came. It was quite the experience.
5) we had zone conference and were asked to give a training. Went pretty well! Lots of people told us they loved it and were excited to apply it into their areas! After the zone conference we were asked to prepare something for a zone Halloween activity. That was pretty fun! So on Halloween we got to spend time with the missionaries in the zone during trick or treating hours. It was a fun day!
Here's a quick thought! As we dedicate AND consecrate time to the Lord, He will always make up for it. The same goes for many other things. Sacrifices, studying scriptures, etc. We will have our faith increased in the Atonement and also of our Saviors love. That alone is such a blessing.
I love all of you! And I hope everyone is doing super well.
Love,
Elder Tolman
