Week 37

3-4-19

"It Feels Good"

Ok ok ok I dont have much time today so here goes!

Monday not too much happened. Played volleyball with the zone and then went home. Then went to the Romeros for dinner! 

Tuesday was district council. Afterwards we went to the mall of Georgia for an exchange. We met up and then went back home. I was with Elder De Farias. We visited Omar and talked about his baptism. Oh man is that boy ready. 

Wednesday we exchanged back at burger 21 and got some food. Afterwards went to visit Omar again. That was good. We got everything finalized for his baptism. Super sick. Next we visited a referral from Hmno. Garcia, they were dope. Super willing to learn. He loves the idea of the Book of Mormon. His wife not so much but we'll work with her. 

Thursday we went to the  office mission office and started Omar's baptismal program. Then went to visit more referrals. Sick. We got to one and she wasn't home again. The other one was. She is SO prepared you guys. Super old but super ready. It's so cool! Next we went over to the Z.Ls and gave one of them a blessing cause he's sick. Then went to the church to get Omar's baptismal clothes. 

Friday we made a couple changes to the program, did weekly planning took Christians stuff back and then went to Omar's again... this time for his baptismal interview!!! He passed!! Super exciting day. Then we went with him and a member to help him get some clothes to wear. Dope. Then we had a late member dinner.

Saturday was a little bummer. Every lesson fell through that we had planned. So we tried visiting others and no one was home. Nothing was working out for us that day. 

Sunday was THE DAY! Omar entered the waters of baptism and is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! How exciting is that?!?! As he came out of the water he just said, "wow feels good!" It made me laugh. But, how simple is that? "It feels good". Feels good to be clean, every past transgression forgotten. How amazing is that? It feels good. What a day.

ps. I got the worst haircut I've ever gotten and had to buzz my head down to a 4. So there's why I don't have any hair. RIP. It'll grow back
