Week 28

Car Crash?

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing great! Good week this week. Even though I sent my last email Wednesday.  Anyways here goes

Wednesday we finished up p-day and then headed over to Omar's house to see how he was doing. But he was headed out so we set something up the next day at two. After that we visited with Lordez and had a pretty good lesson with her. Hopefully she starts to read a little more!  Also she was very very kind and fed us some food. We found out afterwards that it was the last of her food and we felt real bad.

Thursday was pretty good. But it started out slow. Every lesson fell through so that was a big bummer. We went to try and visit a few people but no one was there. But here's the miracle here, we knocked on one appointments door and they weren't home but while we were walking out someone was carrying groceries so we helped them out. And guess what! They asked who we were so we told them exactly what was going on! They're a cool family that just got here from Honduras and have been here for 7 months. They want us to come back! Ended up being a good day.

Friday was slow, again every appointment fell through. So we visited Omar and he was home! We got him hyped about reading the Book of Mormon so that was sick. Afterwards we went with the Romeros and they fed us some dinner. In the middle of the dinner there was a huge CRASH. So we checked out what was going on and there was a van who had crashed into an electrical pole. They snapped it in half and it was just dangling. Then the passenger got out and they were ok, but an old man in the driver's seat was having a seizure and coughing up blood. That was sketchy. So we got his name and such and did what we could then the police and ambulance got there. To say the least, we were a little late getting home. But it was sad.

Saturday another miracle happened. Remember in the bible the story of a prophet when he asks a women for some bread and water and she gives it to him and then the cupboards were filled? (basically). Well, that's what happened with Lordez. The Romeros called us and asked us to meet them at her apartment and when we got there they had a trunk FULL of food for Lordez. So that was a cool blessing. Later in the day we had a lesson with a less active family and they ended asking us to come back three times a week! So we will be working with them a lot coming up.

Sunday we had church and went to a members house for dinner. It was their daughter's birthday so there was cake and such. She turned three and is the funniest three year old ever. It's hilarious. AND she loves missionaries and will follow us around wherever. It's pretty funny. Then we had a fireside with the zone and that was fun. Got to meet all the new people who came in this transfer.

Pretty good week over here in Georgia! Hope everyone is doing great! Hope to hear from your weeks have been!
