Week 22

New Comp New Style                                                                                                                   11-19-18

Tuesday was a good day. Got my new companion, Elder Quarenta. And got some lunch with the Buford Elders. And we planned out the rest of the week and how things were gonna work out. Then we had English class and no one came sadly. But we were able to go and get a lesson in afterwards. We had a member dinner and I was able to share an entire message in Spanish. It was a big step! 

Wednesday we got a call from the zone leaders and that was fun. Then we had district meeting and we set goals for what we want to accomplish. We got lots of contacts and lessons and return appointments. Good stuff. One guy walked around a corner as we were about to leave and we talked with him and he asked if we wanted to come inside and then had an awesome lesson with his family. It was so cool.

Thursday we drove to the Buford Elders apartment so that we could go to a meeting with the Branch President. We got lists of all the members and that's when our work started. We are trying to make the ranch functional and find who still lives where. We started that night and I was with Elder Timmerman and he speaks awesome Spanish for being in his second transfer out. Super cool. 

Friday we were with Buford again but this time in our area. We weren't able to get in contact with any less actives so that was a bummer. But we were able to see some active members and share a message. 

Saturday was good as well. I was with Timmerman again and we visited less actives and also had a lesson with the Banegas. They're some people we're teaching. We find some places we can go tracking though, as well as some places members don't live anymore. One person we talked to while looking around said I sounded like I've been speaking Spanish for a few months and didn't believe me I've only been speaking for 7 weeks now. He says I barely have an accent! That was super exciting.

Sunday was fun too. After church we had a dinner and then after that a lesson. Then we went to Bufords area and looked for less actives over there. I was able to share a message again in Spanish. It's cool when the spirit is able to help with that, really special.
