Week 7

Good week!

Monday after p-day ended we went tracting and no one wanted to talk so we kind of just knocked doors for 3 hours. But that's ok, it was still a good day. During p-day I got a haircut, found a mountain biking trail that's 12.5 miles long so that's gonna be super fun one of these days. And on top of that.... I GOT A GUITAR!!!! I've been writing a song about Christ so it's been really good. Awesome day.

Tuesday we had our district meeting where I gave a lesson which went alright but no one wanted to talk or participate so it was super awkward. After that we all went to cookout and ate lunch then ELDER Roberts and I went on exchanges with the zone leaders Winegar and Vorwhaler, good guys. Elder Vorwhaler and I got 4 new investigators(total we got 6) and we got invited to a wedding by a Thai family! WHAT??? Too bad I'm not in their area... Then we went and met one of their recent converts and I made a new friend. His name his Shawn and he has sooo much energy. He's a funny kid.  That was it for Tuesday

Wednesday we did some study and got to go tracting again in the same area. We had to go but ELDER Vorwhaler and I wanted to knock on one more house so we did. And you always hear about people knocking one last door before they have to go and you'll hear it one more time. We knocked it and this guy opened and let us in. We taught him a lesson and he loved it. So we left him with my last BofM and left. We were in there for 45 minutes so it was a good lesson. After that we drove back to the house got our stuff put away and went tracting again. It was pretty good, we talked to a few people but no one was interested.

Thursday we went to the temple!!! We did Baptism confirmation initiatory and endowments for an ancestor. It was a really cool experience. Plus the temple is really cool so there's a plus. All the elders went to eat at Zaxbys and we talked and had a good time there. Then we went back to the apartment and I wasn't feeling very good so we didn't go back out. Sad day.

Friday I woke up and felt awful. I had an awful headache and I was throwing up. Not a good start to the day. We didn't end up going out at all today which I felt super bad about. But we did make calls to some investigators to see if they were able to meet with us sometimes next week. So it wasn't entirely unproductive. Just mostly... throughout the day we had a lot of time to study though. It'll be good for our appointments next week.

Saturday was awesome. Woke up and felt great so that was an amazing start to the day! We have the car on Saturdays so the sisters sent us the address where they left it and it took us to the wrong place so we ended up biking 10 miles trying to find it. Elders Roberts crashed so that was a bummer. But we found it. We went tracting in some trailer parks up in Auburn and they were kind of sketchy. Lots of angry drunk people. We met a flat weather and he was crazy. We told him what we were there for and he told us that Jesus was a cult. Then continued to talk about how the bible explains the earth is flat But it doesn't actually say it and I told him if he used to bible to rationalize the earth was flat then he has to use it to rationalize Jesus not being a cult because the book is written about Jesus Christ and not the earth being flat. Then he got really mad so we left. Later on we met a 7th day Adventist who told us God is the same yesterday today and forever so we said we agreed. Then I asked her if I'd is always the same and follows patterns, then why is her prophet a woman if all prophets before have been men. So if God is always the same why would he suddenly change something that has been consistent for thousands of years. Probably not the best reply I could have given because it needed up making her super mad and she shut the door on us. My bad. That's it for Saturday.

Sunday was good. We got some big news about our are and the sisters area above ours. It's good.... But bad for our legs haha. So the sisters area is bigger than ours, and our area is already pretty big. But now the bishops talked with both the stake president and the mission president and were given the ok to have us in BOTH areas. WHAT? Now we have a ton more to bike so that's gonna be amazing. No joke, that'll be awesome. Only problem is biking so far takes time away from tracting and proselyting so we'll see how these changes play out. Good stuff coming up though I'm sure.
